1. Revised portions of the Scholarship Application Guidelines for the Children of Farmers and Fishermen

2. Revised Guideline 12 in the Guidelines Regarding Loan for Fishery Industry in Guidance and Assistance of Management

3. Revised the Operational Guidelines Governing the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan Subsidies for and Selection of Agricultural Industry Cultural Activities Receiving Guidance and Promotion

4. Provided assistance to county and city governments along with 283 local agricultural associations to hold elections for 5,577 association presidents and vice presidents and 11,694 representatives, with an overall voter turnout of 56.13%

5. Initiated comprehensive planning for the plain forest recreational areas to be located at the Danong and Dafu Farms in Hualien County, Dongshi and Aogu Farms in Chiayi County, and Linhou and Silin Farms in Pingtung County

6. Partially completed surveying necessitated by the massive rains brought by typhoons, which altered potential debris flow paths. The Geographic Information System (GIS) was updated based on the survey results

7. Held the “Made in Taiwan” – Agricultural and Fishery Product Show

8. Assisted the Taiwanese Orchid Growers Association to assemble a group to attend the 2009 Tokyo Dome International Orchid Show where Taiwanese attendees earned a total of 11 awards
