1. Revised the list of wild animals that may be bred in captivity under the Wildlife Conservation Act.

2. Revised the Guidelines for Farmers’ and Fishermen’s Association Development Loans.

3. Promulgated the Regulations Simplifying Administrative Procedures for Public Shelters and Reconstruction following Debris Flow Disasters, Forest Fires, and Extreme Cold.

4. Reduced the maximum allowable levels of copper and zinc in livestock and poultry feed.

5. Set the flying fish roe harvesting season to May 15 through July 31, with the maximum allowable catch set at 300 metric tons. A total of 139 vessels were authorized to take part.

6. Exhibited at BioTaiwan 2009 spotlighting the utilization of cutting edge farming, forestry, fishery, and animal husbandry biotechnologies.

7. Held a celebration to mark Fishermen’s Day, commending model fishermen and women of fisherman households; President Ma was on hand to personally present the awards.

8. Held the third set of training sessions for the newly elected Farmers’ and Fishermen’s Associations, with President Ma himself stopping by to offer his encouragement and guidance.
