1. The policy blueprint entitled New Agricultural Movement was activated.

2. The image of fruits was painted on the airbus fleet of Taiwan’s China Airlines as a joint effort to market Taiwan’s quality agri-products internationally.

3. In response to the damages caused by the torrential rain in the second half of May, low-interest loans were provided to seven counties, i.e., Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, Nantou, Yunlin, and Chiayi, for damaged products of all crops, whereas for Taoyuan County and Tainan City, such loans were provided for damaged watermelon crop only.

10. The rice trading center for southern Taiwan was launched.

11. The operation procedure for buying back fishing vessels and fishing rafts for 2006 was announced.
