1. The 15 th special meeting of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) reverted Taiwan’s catch quota for big-eye tuna to the original 14,900 tons.

2. The cooking contests to promote innovative cuisine using domestically-produced pork took place.

3. "The regulations for the Executive Yuan’s Financial Restructuring Fund to handle the utilization and management of compensation fund incurred by the credit departments of farmers’ and fishermen’s associations” was promulgated.

4. An exhibition on Taiwan’s leisure farming 2006 was organized for the public to appreciate the recent development of recreational agriculture.

10. Premier Tseng-chang Su directed during an agriculture forum that the 2007 agricultural project loan quota will be increased from NT$30 billion to NT$45 billion to meet the demand from farmers and fishermen.

11. The 2006 APEC symposium on agricultural finance policy and development took place.

12. The ninth meeting on bilateral agricultural cooperation between Taiwan and the Netherlands was held.
