100 best agricultural and fishery goods show the diversity and vigor of the industry
The Council of Agriculture (COA) is presenting the best agricultural and fishery products over a three-day period to share with the general public the fruits of the agricultural development in recent years. The fair is being held at the National Taiwan University Sports Center starting on December 30. The farmers’ and fishermen’s associations are displaying their 100 best products during this period.
In addition, the COA website has started introducing Taiwan’s diverse, excellent agricultural products and has even invited the public to meet the agricultural experts from different counties and towns as well as to familiarize themselves with the produce placed on exhibit. There are contests with attractive prizes for visitors to bring home.
The products and by-products highlighted at the fair include fruits, locally-grown rice, tea, health food and beauty products. All these products show great improvement in quality and packaging.
From December 25 to January 26, the COA website is organizing contests every day with questions focusing on experts or achievers and specialties from a specific city or county each time. Contestants accept the challenge to get the highest score of the day. In this competition, participants from northern, central, eastern and southern regions of Taiwan who earn the top three highest scores are awarded special prizes. These prizes include gift boxes of the highest-grade rice produced in Kwanshan, Taitung; tea packages from Nantou; and Kukeng coffee packages. Contestants virtually go on an islandwide armchair tour. More prizes and gifts await participants who finish all competitions.
The COA website not only introduces the 100 best agricultural and fishery products at the Taipei fair but also enables the public to go visit the online outlets of farmers’ associations.
