1. Executive Yuan Premier Yu Shyi-kun led a delegation to the 3 allied nations of the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The COA Minister Lee Ching-lung accompanied Premier Yu on this trip and visited the Nicaraguan Minister of Agriculture, Animal husbandry, and Forestry and the Honduran Minister of Agriculture and Animal husbandry.
2. The COA established a Typhoon Aere emergency team and declared 80 towns and townships in 13 counties or cities to be debris flow alert areas. The COA declared Taitung and Hsinchu counties to be eligible for agricultural natural disaster low - interest loans and relief.
3. The COA purchased domestic garlic in accordance with "2004 Agricultural Product Price Stabilization Measures" approved by the Executive Yuan after the "Nine-Five" mechanism was triggered.
4. The COA participated in the Executive Yuan's 2004 Industrial Technology Strategy Conference.
5. The COA revised the "Regulations and Explanatory Notes for Fishing Boats and Catch Transport Boats Engaged in Cooperative Fleet Operations."
6. The COA promulgated the revision of humanitarian dog-catching operating standards.
7. The COA began implementing greenhouse certification and relevant quarantine tasks for Phalaenopsis orchid growing medium exported to the US starting on July 6 in accordance with the "Work Plan for Plants in Growing Media from Taiwan."
